Grandparents' Day
On Wednesday, the Primary 7 and 6 class were ready to welcome their grandparents to Clintyclay as part of Catholic Schools Week. The boys and girls had been working hard on preparing the classroom for the visit whilst also preparing some gifts for their grandparents.
With their grandparents, the class planted flowers into a pot which had a poem printed on them. The class also presented their grandparents with a small bag which included some chocolate and a bookmark, as the children give thanks for all that their grandparents have done for them throughout their lives. Everyone enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee with some treats and had a good catch up.
The class have been learning about the History of Clintyclay, as we celebrate 130 years of the school, so took the opportunity to interview their grandparents to learn about what school was really like all them years ago.
We thank the grandparents for joining us and look forward to welcoming them again.
